Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated, customer-service oriented, and capable individual for an IT Support Specialist I role to assist the Management Information Systems team with the maintenance of hardware, software, and other business critical systems. The ideal candidate must demonstrate competent ability in troubleshooting issues with equipment, error messages, end users, and systems. To be successful in this role, the incumbent must have the aptitude and drive to learn our business as it relates to the implementation, maintenance, and support of internal systems.

Responsibilities:

• Primary contact for internal IT ticket resolution; manage user support requests and take proactive, effective, and efficient measures to fulfill requests

• Primary contact for procurement, installation, and maintenance of new and/or existing employee PC's, and networking equipment; periodic maintenance of hardware and software

• Hardware and software inventory management, distribution, and control

• IT infrastructure troubleshooting and maintenance; VOIP phones, printers/faxes, and wireless/wired connectivity

• Remote desktop management, including providing on-call support advice and technical support to various users/clients regarding technical issues

• Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems; malware and virus remediation; troubleshoot equipment such as printers, scanners, and other peripherals

• Data migration and maintenance duties

• Assist in performing hardware and software installation procedures

• Assist in gathering user requirements and developing appropriate reports for management

• Practice and adhere to Hughes Private Capital values and service standards

• Conduct business with the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct

• Perform and assist with duties, as required, to maintain workflow, and meet deadlines

• Notify management of obstacles, equipment or operating problems requiring the need for additional support, and/or supplies

• Participate in meetings and workgroups to acquire and maintain necessary levels of knowledge relating to business developments, industry requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines; collaborate on projects and communicate issues

• Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work

• Follow company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies

• Perform tasks, special projects, and other duties as assigned with the ability to recognize and correct oversights or inaccuracies

Qualifications:

Required

• Capacity to learn and utilize relevant software

• Strong organizational skills, specifically problem management, multitasking, and time-management

• Demonstrated excellent business oral and written communication skills

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Preferred

• Degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, or related field of study
