The Reno Collective gets a nice nod in this RGJ Story about the new nickname for the stretch of 1st street running by our windows. We approve. Here’s to everyone who has been a part of rallying the startups in our neighborhood!
Reno Collective Mentioned in the Reno Gazette JournalMarch 21, 2011 in Press
The Reno Collective got some love from the RGJ this weekend! After a year of serving entrepreneurs, start-ups and independent workers in the Reno Metro area, we’ve been able to witness some trends in how people are starting new businesses here.
When the RGJ called up to ask what we’ve witnessed within Generation Y, we responded. The Reno Collective isn’t JUST a collection of Gen-y start-ups- the entrepreneurial spirit is alive in every generation. But we have seen a lot of younger people going off on their own and taking their future into their own hands.
Thanks, RGJ, for getting a perspective from coworking! Hit them up to see what we contributed, as well as to check out their new layout. We’ve got lots of other things in the works so expect to hear more from us!
We woke up this morning to a feature article in the Reno News & Review! The local Reno media have really been good to us- the Rn&R has been continually in contact with us, waiting for us to open so that they could send a team to cover our space, and what a job they did!
So, go check it out and read about Colin’s “unforgettable red hair” and my mustache. Plus they totally get what we’re accomplishing here! Thanks, RN&R and thanks Clarissa & Dana!
Reno Collective in the Northern Nevada Business Weekly!January 25, 2010 in Press
Look who’s in this morning’s NNBW! We’re extremely proud to see the local business media covering the collective- and that they really get what we’re doing and want to support it. The moment that we let John Seelmeyer know what we were getting started here he wanted to come over and check it out. Meeting with him for the interview was more like walking through our space and showing it to a friend- and someone who really found value in Co-working and what can be accomplished here in Reno.
So please visit the NNBW to check out the article and the rest of the issue- or pick up a print copy. Thanks, John!
