What do I need to bring?

For most of our classes, bringing a laptop is useful. However, unless otherwise specified, it is not necessary. A pen and paper will suffice!

eCommerce Part 1: Your Online Store

Debbie Sessions is the owner and designer of VintageDancer.com, an aggregate online shopping portal that searches the internet for vintage styles for men and women, linking customers to online retailers that sell these styles.

In this three-part series, we are going to help you navigate the many options to selling products online. From where to sell, what system to use, setting up your store, and marketing, you will have all the tools necessary to creating a successful eCommerce business.

Part 1: Where Should I Sell?
A self-hosted eCommerce website or a hosted store like Amazon, etsy.com or ebay.com (and others) all have benefits and drawbacks. Which storefront system is right for your brand? Where can you find/create products? What payment processors should you use? What about shipping and fulfillment? How much is this going to cost? We will explore all the options and help you make a plan to launch your online store. If you already have an online store, this class will help you explore other opportunities you may be missing.

Who is this class good for?
Anyone interested in building an eCommerce business, or for anyone who already has one and wants to increase productivity. There are no prerequisites for this class.
